The COMMUNITY M-PACT AWARD was given to the Rotary Club of Johnson County by Renee’ Flowers at the 9th  Annual Inspired M-Pact Community Luncheon Westin Crown Center Hotel.  In front of 300+ celebrities and guests, club president Shirley Rahe received the award for the club.  As a club we have supported them for the past seven years.

JoCo Rotarians have supported the inspiring work of Tyrone and Renee’ Flowers as they have worked tirelessly helping to develop young minds and leadership skills in inner-city youth.   Their three-pronged approach is the following: Building Leaders for Tomorrow, Project Restoring Hope and Bridging the Gap between these youth and the total community. With this approach, Higher M-Pact is reaching its goal to CHANGE A LIFE, one child at a time.

On Thursday evening, May 16 th  at 5:30 pm, the club will have a chance to assist them once again and give members and invited guests an opportunity to hear about the great work done by Higher M-Pact.  This special meeting will take the place of the regular morning breakfast that day and is a time for us to bring prospective members to see the work that Rotary does in the community and the world.

This also is a meeting that we encourage club members to bring their
spouses or significant others.  The cost will be $10 for Rotarians and spouses, but free for any prospective members we might bring.
