From the Giving Grove Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/communitytreegardens) :
"Sunshine, blue skies, fruit trees in bloom, bare roots meeting fertile soil, and many hands contributing to another successful planting project sums up our #thankfulThursday at the Johnson County, KS Government Adult Residential Center. Many thanks to our partners, The Rotary Club of Johnson County for sponsoring today's orchard planting project!"

ROTARY MINUTE

April 5, 2018

Rotary is a verb.

ro·ta·ry / rōdərē /
verb
  1. caring about people

Through Rotary, we help people at home and abroad.  The projects we do and the Foundation money we give is working all over the world at every minute of the day and night.

Rotary Club of Johnson County is providing emergency help to people in the community as well as providing long-term help for family planning.

Our support of the St. Mary’s Food Kitchen meets an immediate need of people caught in poverty.  The support of needy kids and families through Growing Futures assures that many kids will be ready for success in schools while building parent knowledge and support toward their futures.

JoCo Rotary is also helping to build good food sources with a healthy environment through our project to plant a “Giving Grove” here in our county.

These projects happen due to Rotarians and their bent for “Service to Humanity.”  We could do even more if we could add more Rotarians to our club.  If you invite just one person to come to a club meeting you might be “planting another seed!”
