President's Message

We had an interesting and thought-provoking presentation last Thursday by Karen Hughey, an entrepreneur and member of the Rotary club of Overland Park South. Karen Hughey founded KRHR Nucleus, a company that specializes in on-line video-based training. Our next breakfast meeting is Thursday, June 2nd. Patrick Malone, author and motivational speaker, will be our guest presenter. Hope to see you next Thursday!

Rotary Minute May 12, 2022
Since the Rotary Year actually ends on the last day of June, we have just six weeks to get every-thing done we need to do in this Rotary Year.
It’s been quite a year to this point, but there is still work to do.   Here is a Johnson County Rotary Do-It List just to help remind us:
  • Have you paid your 2nd-half year Rotary Club dues?
  • Did I get my Every Rotarian Every Year donation in to RI?
  • I’ve been meaning to send a little extra to RI and World Health Org.  Polio Plus
  • Did I send Becky my program idea that I thought of last month?
  • I’ve been meaning to invite someone to breakfast.  I need to call him/her!
  • I need to follow up on that article I read in the Rotarian.
  • Is it time for me to volunteer to be a JoCo Rotary Officer?
  • I’d like to know more about the Learning Club, E-Ship Rising, the Rotary Camp, Faith Hope or ESRAG- Environmental Sustainability Rotarian Action Group.
  • Maybe I should get involved in a Rotary 5710 District Committee.
There is always much to do in Rotary at the club level or on up the ranks to RI Board and Trustees.  We have a lot of talent in our club.  Don’t be afraid to share yours!
