Meals On Wheels

Due to the COVID-19 situation, Johnson County Meals on Wheels has switched to STAFF ONLY Monday Delivery for the unforeseeable future.  They will not schedule volunteers to deliver meals.  Meals on Wheels clients will receive a weekly Frozen Box of meals as well as a large box of Shelf-Stable meals.  They are also contacting clients weekly to check-in. I will notify everyone when the regular schedule will resume.

ROTARY MINUTE

April 20, 2020

The World Health Organization, Rotary’s partner, is in real need of our Polio Plus dollars.  It seems that some very short-sighted government officials have cut our country’s support of this wonderful organization.

However, Bill Gates and many entertainments and sports figures are coming to the rescue.  So should we in Rotary.  WHO has been at the forefront of every major health pandemic in the past 60 years.  They have also been active in every country in the world to help Rotary conquer Polio and have also been major players in the fight against malaria, measles and other diseases that can be overcome with education, clean water, and good health practices.

Our Rotary Foundation has supported projects all over the world alongside WHO.  Our Polio Plus dollars and our EREY contributions have really helped.

Go Rotary, Go!  Let’s support our World Health Organization and The Rotary Foundation!
