Mark your calendars for July 8th at 5:30pm for our end of year celebration.  This year's party will be in the form of a picnic.  The location will be announced as soon as possible  At our Zoom only meeting this week Larry williams will be discussing our club's Foundation.  On May 2oth we will welcome Faron Barr, our district governor, to be our speaker.  Faron is planning on attending in person, so hopefully we will have good attendance at this meeting.   The Monarch banners for Kansas City Day will be picked up this Thursday afternoon, please let me know how many you want to sell/share with friends.  Remember all proceeds go to the Rotary Youth Camps.  See you this week on Zoom.

Christmas Angels
Joe has been in touch with the Salvation Army and will be asking for a show of hands on Thursday and how many Angels for each Rotarian. That count will be submitted to Salvation Army on Friday or Monday....
From Sheyvette:
Hello All,
Thank you so much for sponsoring! We will have a seat available at our Pitch Competition on Feb. 8, 2020 @ 6pm via Zoom. Please connect me with the members that would be interested in this opportunity.
Additionally, we would like to offer an optional Pitch Practice Session with your members for the participants, during the week of February 1, 2020. We will follow back up at a later date, to discuss and see if this is still of interest to you.

Meals On Wheels

Due to the COVID-19 situation, Johnson County Meals on Wheels has switched to STAFF ONLY Monday Delivery for the unforeseeable future.  They will not schedule volunteers to deliver meals.  Meals on Wheels clients will receive a weekly Frozen Box of meals as well as a large box of Shelf-Stable meals.  They are also contacting clients weekly to check-in. I will notify everyone when the regular schedule will resume.

November 4, 2020
The Rotary year is in its first half, but it is always a busy time of the year.  There are still things on the Rotary To-Do List to do.
•      Have you been keeping up with RI?   The ROTARIAN is full of activities and news worldwide.
•      Our District 5710 has been holding district-run zoom programs twice a month.  Very interesting.
•      Do you want to get your Every Rotarian Every Year contribution to count for this tax year?   Be sure and send it in to get that credit in the next few weeks.
•      Do you have any slightly used children’s books for ages 5 thru 16?  We’re collecting them for the Learning Club project.
•      If you have a Sam’s Club or Costco card,  look for cases of snack foods or fruit drinks and get them in before the 14th.   Bring your receipts with those cases since we need to spend at least $1200. on that project for books, activity books and snack foods.
•      Still waiting to hear from the Salvation Army about the Christmas Angels.  Lots of things are being done differently with the rules for Covid.
•      Keep inviting people to come to our breakfasts.  We still can use new members and younger blood in our group.
•      Do you know of a great person to have for a Zoom speaker for our club meetings.  They do not even have to leave     their homes to be on our programs.  Distance is not a factor.
Keep looking around for positive things we can do, as individuals or as a club.  Especially look for ways we can discuss and do things together to make us a more United States of America.
