ROTARY MINUTE

July 10, 2018

The new Rotary year began July 1st so it is Happy New Year season for our club; Joe Morris takes over as president with a new set of officers.  Now is the time to set new goals (aka new year's resolution) for our upcoming year. Maybe you want to set one of these goals:
·     How about perfect attendance?  As of now, you all have it this year!
·     Do you have an idea for a great fundraiser? Share it with president Joe or Pam.
·     Get ahead on Rotary EREY for TRF (The Rotary Foundation). Lyle will collect your donation and send it in anytime.  Or, give some extra to Polio Plus.
·     We could think about helping Mark Smith set up by coming early or help to put things away.  I’ll bet Mark would appreciate one of us subbing for him on a Thursday and letting him sit in the peanut gallery for breakfast!
·     Take responsibility for one of the morning programs or even a month of programs for our club.
·     Visit another club for a make-up and bring back a program or some ideas that you thought were very good.
·     Volunteer to go to the Rotary leadership seminar in Topeka in August.  Check the District 5710 newsletter for specifics.  Then share a ride with another club member.
·     Write an article for the newsletter and get it to Becky J for the next edition.  She does it weekly you know.
·     Don’t forget that we are still giving books to Head Start programs and assisting at the food kitchen.  Spend some time working for Growing Futures and St Mary’s Food Kitchen.
·     Be a regular, optimistic, giving Rotarian that we see every week at breakfast if at all possible!
