Our club's end of year banquet was held on June 28th at the Martin City Brewing Company. Special thanks to Bob McCoy for planning this year's event and congratulations to Pam Stockman, our Rotarian of the Year.

The Rotary Club of Johnson County Charitable Foundation presents its 10th annual Oktoberfest fundraiser at the Boulevard Brewery Penthouse. This event will be emceed by Fox 4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

Join us for a fun evening of food, drink, and fellowship. In addition to a silent auction, there will be our "famous" wine bucket drawing. New this year is a Grand Prize drawing for a 7 night, two bedroom condo in the Orlando area during the week of 2019 President's Day. This event will be held in the Muehlebach Suite on the top floor of Boulevard Brewery - one of Kansas City's premier event venues!

Proceeds benefit Growing Futures Early Education Center and St. Mary's Food Kitchen.

In just a little more than a week, the long and extended term of president Jeff Shore will end. Congratulations to Jeff and his board of excellent people.
We’ve raised a lot of money, served many people in need and gained new insights on how to be a more active and engaged club. Many people made up the work of JoCo Rotary for the year, but a few were on the job every week all year and should be recognized.  Of course, we thank Jeff for the day to day operation of the club and its meetings and projects.  Pam Stockman did a great job of arranging programs that were educational, helpful and enlightening.  Our secretary’s job is a very time-consuming and thankless job, but Mark Smith has done yeoman’s work and with a smile every week.  The Newsletter reflects our club’s great work and inspiring programs; our thanks goes out to Tom Hansen and Becky Johnston for this weekly publication. Also, keeping us up to date with invocations and meals on wheels was Shelly Tehven and her work behind the scenes.
There are many more to be thanked, especially those who worked on the big fundraiser and other projects during the year, but that recognition will probably come at the year’s end celebration. We hope you have the 28thon your calendar.
