Thanks to your generosity, we collected $30 in 'Happy Bucks' and 'Dollars for the Foundation' as we enjoyed the holiday spirit of the Old-Time Village Musicians. All these contributions benefit the Rotary International Foundation.

This week we will be welcoming our District Governor, Jason Lieb, to speak at our meeting. I hope you all can come. Just a reminder for those on the board. There will be a board meeting at 6:50 this Thursday. Our primary purpose is to finalize the Oktoberfest donation to charities. I also want to have a brief discussion about Oktoberfest at the general meeting. Stay warm and see you on Thursday!

COAT DRIVE
Hey guys! Village West Rotary is going to do a coat drive in December! We would love to accept any coats (mostly for kids) over the next three weeks to give to several different schools here in Wyandotte County. Tom Lally with Village West Rotary will be collecting coats! Please contact Tom at either tom@hillcrestkc.org or his phone at 913-291-7539. We would prefer new or gently used coats and clean if possible! We are hoping to collect as many coats as possible before December 23rd! We appreciate all your support and thank you Tom for helping us out! If you have any other questions, I can be reached at 913-620-6936.

ROTARY MINUTE
December 15, 2019
Christmas Angels have been delivered. We helped the Christmas Bureau make the season a little more joyful for hundreds of people. Dozens of books have been collected for our continuation of Books for Kids in Wyandotte County. In addition, individual club members have assisted the Salvation Army, Project Warmth, Coats for Kids and food kitchens all over the metro.
We can celebrate with song and fellowship at our annual club Christmas music breakfast this Thursday at the Holiday Inn. Bring your family members to enjoy the festivities. Our second fellowship get-together this month, thanks to the Ruo’s.
As we continue the season as Rotarians, parents and grandparents, friends and family members, neighbors and helpers, let us work for peace and harmony in everything we do.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours!
