OctoberFest 2018 was an evening of fun, fellowship, and fundraising. A big thanks to Pam Stockman for her leadership in organizing our clubs signature event.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Oktoberfest a success! It was such a fun night. Now the number crunching begins to see how much money we raised for our charities. We will keep you posted on the results.
Pam Stockman

The Rotary FOUNDATION BANQUET and AWARDS DINNER will be held this year on November 3rd at the Sheraton Overland Park.

Having money available for matching grants is the reason Rotary Club of Johnson County developed and incorporated the club Charitable Foundation to hold and invest funds in the mid 1990’s.  This means that we have an instrument for making tax-deductible gifts and using them for matching grants, or as the account to pay for our major projects.

Three years-ago our Charitable Foundation investments were worth over $25,600. Today the value is worth around $30,000, which doesn’t count any of our Oktoberfest money.
During that same three-year period our foundation board spent $1,000 on equipment at Growing Futures, $1,000 for a juice-machine for St Mary’s Food Kitchen and a $1,500 to the Rotary Global project, the Haiti Well-Baby Clinic.
The governing board for the JoCo Rotary Charitable Foundation includes past-presidents, Dave G, John R, Jeffrey S, Rod F and Larry W; two at-large club members, Bill R & Bob McC and our current club president Joe.
