Summary of January 23rd Meeting
Thanks to your generosity, we collected $27 in 'Happy Bucks' and 'Dollars for the Foundation.' All these contributions benefit the Rotary International Foundation.
Debbie Williams was our guest speaker at last week's breakfast meeting. As a Princeton alumnus, Debbie is active in the Princeton Prize in Race Relations for the Kansas City region. The Princeton Prize in Race Relations is an awards program for high school students who lead and organize efforts to improve race relations within their schools or communities. Several of the recent prize winners are featured in these videos:

Now that we're well into 2020, it's time to focus on our club's 2 goals;  1 community service project per quarter and increase membership.  I propose we have an assembly meeting in February to decide on our next steps and create an action plan.  We will decide the date for the assembly at this week's meeting.   See you Thursday.

“Happy New Year!”    It’s time again to start anew and make resolutions, but for the Rotary Club of Johnson County, the year is half over.  Six months still remain in the Rotary year.   President Pam is happy she still has this time to get all her goals done and make a dent in all the requirements and requests from Rotary district, zone, and International, not to mention her own board of directors.
There are several things we Rotary members can do to help ease her load:
•       Make an effort to get to every Rotary meeting and share your personality
•       Think of friends to invite to visit and join our club
•       Get program ideas to Becky to keep that string good programs going
•       Be alert to deadlines for dues and meal charges
•       Get in your Every Rotarian Every Year donation
•       Spread the word of Rotary
For a strong second half to the Rotary year,  keep up your support, your optimism, your presence and your pride in one of Kansas’ Star Rotary Clubs, the small but powerful Rotary Club of Johnson County  Kansas!
